Welcome to LeaderBox Africa (“LeaderBox”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By creating an account or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Eligibility & Account Creation

1. You must be at least 18 years old to use LeaderBox.
2. Each individual may only maintain one personal account. Impersonation, fake accounts, or coordinated inauthentic behavior are strictly prohibited.
3. Organizations, political groups, or leaders may be permitted to open verified or official accounts as the platform expands.

2. Purpose of LeaderBox

LeaderBox is a civic engagement and accountability platform that enables citizens to:

1. Discover and learn about political leaders and institutions.
2. Share opinions and participate in polls, banters, and petitions.
3. Join or create political groups (when available).
4. Hold leaders accountable through digital engagement.

3. User Responsibilities

1. You agree not to post unlawful, defamatory, hateful, threatening, or misleading content.
2. You may not use the platform to harass, abuse, impersonate, or spread misinformation.
3. Content must be original or properly attributed; respect copyright and intellectual property laws.
4. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

4. Platform Rights

1. We may moderate, remove, or restrict any content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
2. We may suspend or terminate accounts that engage in misuse, impersonation, or illegal activity.
3. LeaderBox reserves the right to update, modify, or discontinue features at any time.

5. Future Features (Preview)

1. Political Groups: Users may join or organize groups for civic discussion.
2. Leader Claim Feature: Leaders may claim their verified profiles and engage directly with citizens.

These features will be subject to additional rules and verification processes.

6. Intellectual Property

1. All LeaderBox content, trademarks, and services are owned by LeaderBox Africa.
2. Users retain ownership of their own content but grant LeaderBox a license to use, display, and distribute it on the platform.

7. Limitation of Liability

1. LeaderBox is not liable for user-generated content. Views expressed are solely those of users.
2. We are not responsible for political decisions or outcomes resulting from discussions on the platform.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
