The National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) just appointed 20 safety ambassadors and distributed 200 life jackets to boat operators and beach users in Cross River. A smart move toward safer waterways, but will it truly change habits? Many still travel daily without life jackets despite repeated warnings.
