Over 500 top military officers forced out, is Nigeria’s army being reformed or weakened?

Even as insurgency threats persist, at least 500 senior military officers (Major-Generals & Brigadiers) were reported forced out during the presidencies of Muhammadu Buhari and Bola Tinubu. What does this large purge of senior officers suggest about Nigeria’s military leadership?
