Yusuf Mohammed Maccido

Yusuf Mohammed Maccido serves as Sokoto State’s Commissioner for Water Resources. A prince of the Sultanate and son of the late Sultan Muhammadu Maccido, he transitioned from public service roles within the emirate to become a key figure in the state executive. He has been instrumental in reviving the state’s water infrastructure, including emergency boreholes, water treatment facilities, and completion of a major 40-million-gallon-per-day supply project framing water as a cornerstone of development.
