Veronica Awele Okonji

Mrs. Veronica Awele Okonji is the Auditor-General of Delta State, confirmed in April 2023. She heads the independent state audit office charged with ensuring accountability, transparency, and proper utilization of public funds across MDAs, parastatals, and government institutions. In her role, she has engaged in reforms around audit law, performance auditing, and international public sector accounting standards. Her leadership aims at strengthening the audit system in Delta State and promoting fiscal discipline.
