Umar Nashong

Umar Nashong, also known as Umar Nashon Gubi, is the Chairman of Mayo-Belwa Local Government Area, elected under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2024 Adamawa State local government elections. His election was part of PDP’s statewide sweep of all 21 LGAs. As Chairman, Nashong oversees grassroots governance, council administration, and local development programs in Mayo-Belwa.
