Ekperikpe Ekpo is Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), appointed in August 2023. An ecologist by training, he transitioned from a distinguished teaching career to leadership roles in local governance and national legislation. As a former Member of the House of Representatives and chairman of the NCDMB, Ekpo brings cross-sector expertise—especially in environmental policy, gas infrastructure, and legislative advocacy—to Nigeria’s gas sector reform agenda.
