Richard Ugo Idike

Hon. Richard Ugo Idike is the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development in Ebonyi State, appointed under Governor Francis Nwifuru’s administration in July 2023. A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Idike has been actively engaged in youth advocacy, community development, and grassroots sports promotion. His portfolio focuses on harnessing the potential of young people through empowerment programs, skills development, and the expansion of sports infrastructure across the state. He is seen as part of the government’s strategy to integrate youth into governance under the People’s Charter of Needs agenda.
