Bio Summary
Rauf Aregbesola is a Nigerian mechanical engineer and politician who served as Governor of Osun State from 2010 to 2018 and later as Nigeria’s Minister of Interior from 2019 to 2023. A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he is known for his grassroots mobilization skills, infrastructural development policies, and education reforms in Osun. Prior to his governorship, he was Lagos State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure under Governor Bola Tinubu, where he gained recognition for his efficiency and political strategy. As of September, 2025, Rauf Aregbesola is a member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and serves as its Interim National Secretary. This follows his expulsion from APC earlier in 2025
