Prof. Rasaki Ojo Bakare is Ekiti State’s Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, re‑appointed in 2023. A preeminent scholar and practitioner, he is Nigeria’s first Professor of Choreography and Performing Aesthetics, former Dean and academic leader at FUOYE, and former Artistic Director of the Abuja Carnival. Bakare has elevated Ekiti’s cultural profile through festivals, creative programming, and leadership of the national Forum of Culture Commissioners.

- Academic: Nigeria’s first Professor of Choreography and Performing Aesthetics; lectured at multiple universities including University of Calabar, ABU Zaria, OAU Ile‑Ife, University of Uyo, University of Abuja, and Federal University Oye‑Ekiti (FUOYE), where he held deanships in Humanities, Arts, and Postgraduate Studies.
