Chief Olusegun Osoba is a Nigerian journalist, statesman, and politician who served as the Governor of Ogun State twice, first under the Social Democratic Party (1992–1993) and later under the Alliance for Democracy (1999–2003). A pioneer in Nigerian journalism, Osoba rose to prominence as an editor and media executive before entering politics. Known for his pro-democracy stance during Nigeria’s military era, he became one of the founding fathers of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He remains a respected elder statesman and political leader in Ogun State and across Nigeria.
