Okezie Victor Ikpeazu is a Nigerian biochemist, academic, politician, and former Governor of Abia State who served from 2015 to 2023 under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He is a native of Obingwa Local Government Area in Abia State and is widely recognized for transitioning from academia into executive governance. Following his tenure as governor, he has remained active in political and public affairs. In 2026, he was reported and announced as Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain (pending full diplomatic confirmation and assumption of duty).
