Mallam Isa Jibril

Mallam Isa Jibril is the current Executive Chairman of Baruten Local Government Area, Kwara State. Since assuming office following the 2024 LGA elections, he has overseen local governance in Kwara’s largest LGA — coordinating efforts around security, environmental regulation, and basic services. Under his leadership the council issued a 2025 ban on charcoal production, responding to environmental and deforestation concerns.
