Prof. Leonard C. Uguru is the current Commissioner for Finance & Economic Development of Ebonyi State, appointed in June 2023. Originally from Abakaliki LGA, he holds a Ph.D. in Accountancy and formerly served as a lecturer and bursar at Ebonyi State University. He is professionally distinguished with multiple fellowships and has published extensively. In his commissioner role, he is responsible for the financial management of the state, economic planning, revenue mobilization, budgeting, and development strategy, combining academic rigour with administrative leadership.
