Lateef Ashimi

Hon. Lateef Ashimi is the current Executive Chairman of Shomolu Local Government Area in Lagos State, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the July 2025 elections. A grassroots leader with experience in legislative service and community advocacy, his administration focuses on community welfare, empowerment, education support, infrastructure collaboration, and responsive governance. Through initiatives such as food palliative distributions, business empowerment grants, free GCE support, and security partnerships, Ashimi aims to alleviate economic hardship and foster inclusive development for residents of Shomolu.
