Hajia Mariam Abdulwasiu Omotayo

Hajia Mariam Abdulwasiu Omotayo is the Executive Chairperson of Moro Local Government Area in Kwara State, elected in 2024 under the APC. She made history as the first female to lead Moro LGA and has since spearheaded a broad programme of grassroots development, including bridge repairs, ICT infrastructure for youths, rural electrification, borehole water supply, school renovations, and active collaboration on gender-based violence prevention. Her tenure reflects a hands-on, inclusive approach aimed at improving livelihoods across all 17 wards.
