Godspower Oporomo

Chief Godspower Oporomo is the Commissioner for Ijaw National Affairs in Bayelsa State, appointed under the administration of Governor Douye Diri. A member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oporomo is responsible for overseeing initiatives that safeguard and promote Ijaw identity, culture, and political interests. His role focuses on strengthening cultural unity, advocating for the rights of Ijaw people, and fostering development within Bayelsa and across the Niger Delta. He is widely regarded as a cultural custodian and an advocate for indigenous affairs.
