Dr. Fred Okem is the APC-elected Chairman of Yala LGA, Cross River State. A seasoned community health expert with multiple diplomas, HNDs, a Master’s and most recently a Ph.D., he has combined his professional expertise with public service. His tenure is marked by initiatives in agriculture, water & sanitation, healthcare access, and urban development. Under his leadership, Yala LGA has pushed for stronger internally generated revenue, dissolution of revenue agencies, and proposed creation of an Urban Development Authority to foster infrastructure and hygiene improvements.
