Francis Ogbonna Erishi Nwifuru (b. 25 February 1975) is Governor of Ebonyi State since 29 May 2023. A former two-term Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, he defected from PDP to APC in 2020. Hailing from Oferekpe Agbaja in Izzi LGA, he holds degrees in building technology, woodwork and a master’s in supply‑chain management. He ran on grassroots development, rural infrastructure and institutional reform.
