Emmanuel Oko Isu (1943–2009) was an accomplished civil engineer and pioneer Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, serving from 1999 to 2007. Educated in both Nigeria and the U.S., he brought technical expertise and administrative capabilities to his role. After his tenure, he continued contributing to education by chairing the governing council of Ebonyi State University. He remains remembered as a foundational figure in the early years of Ebonyi State.
