Obafemi Hamzat is the current Deputy Governor of Lagos State and a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). A trained engineer and technocrat, he previously served as Commissioner for Science and Technology and later Works and Infrastructure under multiple Lagos State administrations. Known for his data-driven approach to governance, Hamzat has contributed to major public infrastructure and technology reforms in the state. He assumed office as Deputy Governor in 2019 alongside Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
