Chief Kanemala Penewou is the Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs in Delta State. Born in October 1965 and native of Akugbene, Bomadi LGA, he holds a degree in Political Science from Delta State University, Abraka. With experience spanning private enterprise and multiple local government leadership roles (including two terms as Bomadi LGA Chairman), he has also served as special adviser in state government. As Commissioner, Penewou is charged with strengthening LGA governance, chieftaincy institution oversight, and liaising between traditional rulers and government under Delta State’s MORE Agenda.
