Aliyu Abubakar Tureta

Aliyu Abubakar Tureta is Sokoto State’s Commissioner for Animal Health & Fisheries Development since August 2023. He has led significant sectoral interventions, including overseeing the establishment of a modern veterinary hospital under the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L‑PRES), enhancing veterinary services at the Aliyu Jedo site. He also chaired the reinstated 28‑member farmer‑herder conflict resolution committee to promote peaceful coexistence and boost livestock productivity in Sokoto.
