Akpor Pius Ewherido (1963–2013) was a distinguished lawyer, businessman, and politician from Delta State. A two-term Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, he transitioned to the Nigerian Senate in 2011 as the only DPP Senator, representing Delta Central.
