Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola is Nigeria’s Minister of Marine and Blue Economy. A former governor of Osun State and a veteran of the financial and insurance sectors, Oyetola brings corporate governance, administrative experience, and maritime vision to his role. Since August 2023, he has spearheaded Nigeria’s push to harness its maritime potential, advance port efficiency, and promote the sustainable blue economy under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Began career in insurance: area manager at Leadway Assurance (1980–1987); Underwriting Manager at Crusader Insurance (1987–1990); Technical Controller at Alliance and General Insurance (1990–1991)
Founded and led Silvertrust Insurance Brokers Ltd as Managing Director prior to 2011. Also served as Executive Vice Chairman of Paragon Group and Chairman of Ebony Properties. Held directorship at Pyramid Securities Ltd until 2011
