Abubakar Mahdi

Abubakar Mahdi is a Nigerian politician who served as Senator for Borno South from 1999 to 2003 under the Peoples Democratic Party, as part of the Fourth Republic’s inaugural National Assembly. He previously held the same senatorial seat from 1992 to 1993 during the aborted Third Republic under the SDP. As a founding figure in the post-military democratic era, he contributed to key Senate committees such as Security & Intelligence and Foreign Affairs.
