Aber Serumun Deborah

Barr. Aber Serumun Deborah is the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Benue State, appointed in September 2024 by Governor Hyacinth Alia. A graduate of University of Jos and Nasarawa State University, she is a solicitor and arbitrator with a track record in legal and analytic work. As the first female SSG in Benue State, she is charged with coordinating state government operations, advancing the governor’s working agenda, and ensuring inclusive leadership. She is praised for professionalism, trustworthiness, and her potential to bring new perspectives to state governance.
