Abdulazeez Aremu Yakub

Abdulazeez Aremu Yakub is the Executive Chairman of Irepodun Local Government Area, Kwara State, representing the APC. A former Councillor and Vice Chairman of the same council, he brings more than a decade of grassroots political experience backed by private-sector business leadership. Since assuming office in September 2024, his administration has prioritized community development — commissioning palaces and traditional seats, rehabilitating roads, upgrading health and educational facilities, installing water and electricity infrastructure, and strengthening local security. In 2025 he received national recognition for his leadership with a merit award.
