Abdul’aziz Abubakar Yari is a Nigerian public leader and legislator from Zamfara State. A founding figure of the ANPP and later APC, he served two terms as Governor of Zamfara State (2011–2019) and was Senate-appointed Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum. In 2023, he won the Zamfara West Senate seat on the APC platform. Known for his institutional leadership and policy influence, he currently chairs the Senate Committee on Water Resources.
