Abbas Aminu Iya is the Senator representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District in the 10th Nigerian Senate. He was originally elected under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), reflecting changing political alignments within Adamawa State. A chartered accountant and certified forensic fraud examiner, he previously served two terms in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, including as Speaker from 2019 to 2023.
