What sparked the protest on the 30th of September. 1. Mass laying off by Dangote Refinery The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) was upset because over 800 staff were fired by Dangote Refinery, allegedly for unionizing. The workers claim these dismissals are unfair and violate labor laws....
