The US Embassy has ordered the evacuation of its staff after 23 Nigerian states were classified as high-risk.

The US Department of State has ordered non-emergency staff and families to leave its Abuja embassy, citing rising crime, terrorism, and unrest in Nigeria. Travel to 23 states, including Plateau, Jigawa, Kwara, Niger, and Taraba, is strongly discouraged.
