The Lagos State Government has warned residents against consuming spoiled or fungus-infested tomatoes, known as “Ata Esha,” due to serious health risks. According to Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency, such tomatoes may contain harmful toxins that can cause illnesses like liver damage, and cooking does not remove the danger.
