Local government Autonomy: I Will Send Funds Directly To Local governments From Day 1 In Office - Atiku

Atiku Abubakar pledged that, if elected president in 2027, his administration would pay local government funds directly to the 774 LGAs, in line with the Supreme Court’s ruling on financial autonomy. He said this would strengthen local government independence, grassroots development, poverty reduction, and the fight against insecurity, while promoting true federalism.
