FG to review MTN’s $6.2bn IHS acquisition — Minister

The Federal Government will review MTN Group’s proposed $6.2bn acquisition of IHS Holding Limited, citing the strategic importance of telecom infrastructure to Nigeria’s economy and national security. Communications Minister Bosun Tijani said the government is closely monitoring the deal, which would make IHS a wholly owned subsidiary of MTN Group.
